In this the last day of May, Mental Health Awareness month, when we publish Goodwill’s mission-focused blog Where the Goodwill Goes,we have some exciting news!
Goodwill NY-NJ is now operating a new clubhouse for individuals with mental illness in a new borough: Lantern House in The Bronx. We currently operate two other clubhouses: Citiview Connections in Queens and Seamark in Brooklyn.
Goodwill’s Lantern House Clubhouse is a member-oriented program that offers vocational rehabilitation services for adults with psychiatric disabilities. Members work voluntarily alongside staff in vocational, educational and some social activities to develop skills and promote rehabilitation.
Interested individuals must complete the clubhouse application, bring their psycho-social and psychiatric evaluation completed within the last 6 months, identification card with photo, Insurance Card and Medicaid Card.
