That gorgeous sparkling Waterford Crystal Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball will soon drop. However, there is still time for you to make a tax-deductible donation to Goodwill NY-NJ before the New Year. Please make a donation now and support the services in your community.
Want to make an impact but can’t afford to make a monetary donation? You can donate your unwanted clothing and household goods at any of our Goodwill stores. Tax receipts are available upon request.
Thanks to your financial and in-kind support, we served more than 78,000 people last year and we hoped to serve even more in the coming year!
You can empower more people like Elaine to lead fulfilling, productive lives through the power of work. The impact of your support is transformative – 91 cents of every dollar you give supports Goodwill’s 70 programs and services.
ELAINE, a young woman with an intellectual disability, was shy and had no clear vocational direction when she joined Goodwill’s prevocational program. With the help of Goodwill staff, Elaine improved her communication skills, increased her sense of independence, and developed her work goals.
In September 2014, Elaine was hired to work in the young men’s department at JCPenney. Impressed with Elaine’s skills and drive, her manager believes she will soon work without the help of a Goodwill job coach.
Make your contribution today, and bring the joy of success to thousands of men and women who want to work and just need a hand up – not a handout!
Thank you for supporting the mission of Goodwill NY-NJ of empowering individuals to gain independence through the power of work. We look forward to continue helping children and youth, unskilled and mature workers, recent immigrants and refugees, persons with disabilities, welfare applicants and recipients, U.S. veterans, and other individuals with barriers to employment.
We are grateful and wish you a happy and prosperous 2015!
