A group of twenty-eight Goodwill staff and program participants walked in the annual New York City-Metro National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk on Saturday, May 10. The goal of the Walk is to help change how Americans view persons living with mental illness through active display of support in the NAMI Walk. The Goodwillers raised $1,800, almost double than last year!
The team included staff and participants from Goodwill’s Behavioral Health Services in Queens, Brooklyn and The Bronx. They walked across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back. It was a perfect spring day.
