Goodwill Industries Week

Every year during the first full week of May, all 165 Goodwill’s across the world come together to celebrate Goodwill Industries Week. Goodwill Industries Week was first celebrated in May 1951 to mark the birth of Edgar J. Helms, the founder of the Goodwill philosophy and to encourage local Goodwill agencies to educate their communities about the mission of “helping people with disabilities help themselves.” This year, Goodwill NY-NJ will celebrate the annual event in New Jersey!

From Monday-Friday, May 5–9, Goodwill NY-NJ will host a series of panel discussions: “Discover the Power of Partnering for Success” at its Harrison headquarters.

Highlights include a presentation by Jeff Kahn, Palisades Regional Academy, on collaborating with Goodwill, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services discusses Transition Planning, American Sign Language 101, Employer Panel Discussion, Goodwill Skills Training, GoodTemps Information Fair, and more.

To see the full schedule of events, download the calendar here.

To RSVP for any of these free sessions, contact Benjamin Hill at or (973) 481-2300 ext 287.

Refreshments will be provided.

See you then!
