Today, we inaugurated our 43rd Goodwill store in the region with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, raffles and of course, the most important part, by hiring 25 community residents. The newest and only Goodwill store in New Jersey’s Bergen County is located at 30 Broadway, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407. Phone is (201) 794-4670.

We offer retail training and work for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment at our Goodwill stores. Once trained, people have the choice of looking for work in other retailers or apply for any openings at Goodwill.

To celebrate the opening, we’ll hold a contest on Facebook:

Win a $25 Goodwill Gift Card

This Thursday, opening day, we will post a photo on our Facebook page. To win, all you have to do is like us on Facebook and be the first one to correctly guess what the picture shows.

The winner will receive a $25 Goodwill gift card valid to purchase anything at our Goodwill stores through April 30th, 2014.

Here is a practice run of the contest:

Guess what the image below is.

What on Earth could this be? A tire? Playstation 4? Sculpture of an elephant wearing a toupee?

If you guessed a tumbler/travel mug then you are…CORRECT!
