Clothing donationsSome media outlets are reporting that major national chains are running out of winter hats and scarves. Plus, most already show spring clothing in their windows.

But with the record low temperatures and particularly long cold periods we have been enduring this winter, some people are still looking for winter wears.

Not to worry! Goodwill is here, ready for the rescue. You may still find the warm clothing you need. On the other hand, we ask that you donate the winter coats, sweaters, hats, scarves and any other warm clothing you no longer wear. We’ll take it.

We understand that icy sidewalks and roads make it difficult for folks to schlep bags of donations to our Goodwill stores. But we hope you can make an effort and drop your unwanted clothing when you run other errands. Your donations will continue to fund our training and employment services for individuals with all types of disabilities and other barriers to employment. Sales from Goodwill stores also support free after-school programs for children and youth, and barrier-free housing for people with disabilities and the elderly.

The public can drop off clothing and other small household items at any one of Goodwill’s 43 regional stores. To find the nearest Goodwill store, please visit the store locator at our website,
