Our children have been very busy this month! We had two events that were especially exciting.
On August 8th, our children went to the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, located in mid-town Manhattan. They explored electrifying interactive demonstrations and exhibits in an energetic, state-of-the-art facility that brings technology and creativity together to make learning experiential, entertaining and fun.
Then on August 14th, we went to the New York Transit Museum, located in a 1936 subway station in downtown Brooklyn. Our children learned about the city’s early days and the history of the transit system that made the city itself and the metropolitan region grow.
When we’re not going on these exciting field trips, our children do various recreational activities, nature walks and once a week experience swimming at an Olympic sized pool on Roosevelt Island. There is an emphasis on education with local college tours, and our children receive a rich taste of the arts by learning from instructors in the areas of dance, drama and arts and crafts. These skills are put on display as the children perform an end of camp play!
