Goodwill Car Donation announces their new simplified car donation process in New York and New Jersey.
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 06, 2013
Goodwill Industries is far more than a nonprofit organization to make clothing and household good donations to; it is also the number one place to make a car donation in New York and New Jersey. Charitable New York car donations reap many benefits, including tax deductions for the donors and funding for Goodwill’s tradition of providing job opportunities and support for many in need. Automobile donations can be made with any vehicle, whether it runs or not.
Goodwill has been providing employment, job training and community based programs since 1902, financed primarily through charitable offerings, including motor vehicle donations. Goodwill’s programs to provide jobs and training, as well as other forms of assistance, is the focal point of the organization that points out that it is “not a charity, but a chance.” In addition to automobiles, Goodwill also accepts boat donations, motorcycle donations, recreational vehicle donations, Jet Ski donations, and all other types of vehicle donations. Proceeds from the resale of Goodwill vehicle donations provide funds for many of the organization’s most critical mission-focused programs, including job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for individuals with disabilities, who have minimal education or job experience, or are facing employment challenges.
The New York and New Jersey car donation process is very simple: Vehicle donators receive information about where to donate a car in New York or where to donate a car in New Jersey by simply contacting Goodwill Industries at (800) 433-3828 to arrange for free pickup or towing of the donated car or other vehicle. New York or New Jersey car donations can also be arranged on line by connecting to http://www.goodwillnynj.org/. Arrangements for making vehicle donations in other states can be made at http://www.goodwillcardonation.org/.
The simple car donation process includes answering a few basic questions about the vehicle being donated and contact information so that Goodwill can arrange for a towing company to pick up the vehicle within 24 to 48 hours. Donors receive donation receipts to verify their charitable tax donations once they have signed over title papers to Goodwill.
Goodwill’s mission to put people to work has never been a higher priority than it is today. While it began as a small local outreach ministry, Goodwill of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. has grown into an independent, non-sectarian, member of the Goodwill Industries International not-for-profit network.
Goodwill of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey operates with an autonomous board to quickly and efficiently meet the needs of communities in the region. They annually assist more than 100,000 people in New York City, Northern New Jersey, Long Island and upstate New York who experience the pride of earning a wage. Goodwill programs continue to enable people with disabilities, new immigrants, ex-offenders, mature workers and underserved youth, to fully participate in society by achieving employment.
