RETAIL:

  • Store Manager – Manhattan (Full Time) Responsible for all aspects of the efficient and profitable management of a retail store location. This employee will have proven abilities in the areas of employee relations, customer relations, retail management, loss prevention, cash handling, merchandising, production, stocking, achieving established sales goals, and keeping operational costs within established budget. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma, GED equivalency (Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred); undergone 5 years of management and/or supervisory experience and 5 years of retail experience; ability to supervise and train direct reports in all aspects of store operations; ability to read and communicate clearly in an efficient and effective manner; English language is required; ability to effectively respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and management staff; ability to calculate figures such as, discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages; working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of Point of Sales systems; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of other situations; ability to interpret a variety of instructions. YOUTH SERVICES:

  • Employment Specialist – Queens  (Full Time): The Employment Specialist is responsible for developing relationships with medical-related businesses and organizations within New York City, Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. These relationships will lead to Goodwill placing our recent graduates into open positions, as well as carry out the retention process. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree required and 1+ year(s) experience working within any of the following: sales, recruitment, business development, administration, human resources, non-profit, human services; current, valid NYS Driver’s license; willing to travel locally; has vehicle or working knowledge of MTA; strong computer and administrative skills; applicant must have working proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; ability to learn and adapt to new computer programs: experience using Prove-It is preferred, not mandatory; we will train if not experience; excellent written, verbal, communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to be a team player as well as able to work independently, complete tasks in timely manner; must be assertive and a self-starter, and able to prioritize work accordingly; candidate should be detail-minded and be able to engage in a dynamic performance environment; must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program. Special Working Conditions: Office is located in Jamaica, Queens. Travel around Queens, NYC, and Western Long Island is required; position is fulltime, and may include extended work hours on nights and/or weekends as program dictates. WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT:

  • Director of Case Management – Brooklyn and Queens (Full Time) Must have at least five years of case management experience in an HRA welfare to work program with more than two years of supervisory experience.  The ideal candidate will be a creative, systems oriented, multi-tasking manager passionate about motivating case managers to help our participants overcome barriers to employment.  Should love to grow people and develop teams of competent qualified case managers.   • Business Developer – Bronx  (Full Time) In this role, you will be responsible for developing and securing employment opportunities. The Business Developer will relay pertinent job lead information to job developers for screening and matching to program participants.  Additionally in this role you will follow up with employers and perform post interviews to obtain outcomes. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is preferred); at least three years of Job Development or Sales experience; an active Job Bank and the ability to cultivate and maintain employer relationships.   • Resume Specialist (B2W) – Brookly and Queens (Full Time): Responsible for assisting participants in developing resumes, and is creative with participants having minimal skills or barriers to employment and helping them to compose viable and effective resumes. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: 2 years post high school education required (BA/BS degree preferred); 2 years experience in teaching diverse target population; experience in Microsoft Office programs and computer lab management; must be able to type 60-75 wpm; strong writing skills to compose resumes; organized and detail-oriented; must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program. ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Quality Assurance Specialist  (Full Time): In this role, you will monitor and facilitate the achievement of the Assessment, Engagement & Participation milestones for all B2W locations. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: Proficient in HRA systems, policies and procedures; must be a self-starter, detail oriented and highly motivated professional; must be knowledgeable of TANF Final Rules; must have advanced knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Access; BA/BS degree or 2 years experience in HRA related areas; must be flexible and be able to respond to the changing needs of the contract; strong analytical skills are a must; ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
