WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT:

  • Attendance Tracker (B2W) – BKYN/QNS  (Full Time): Responsible for overseeing the attendance process. Review attendance records to verify engagement compliance. Manages documents for absences and/or appointments to ensure that these documents are scanned. Maintains accurate records for daily attendance and reports to HRA in a timely manner on the automated system. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: HS Diploma or GED with two years clerical/customer service experience; ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; detail oriented and excellent customer service skills; knowledge of MS Word, Excel and typing skills of 30-40 wpm; accurate and timely retrieval, recording and submission of attendance records; ensures compliance with policies and procedures to provide timely attendance reports to facilitate monthly attendance and engagement milestones; be able to adapt effectively to changing needs of program services.   • Case Manager (B2W) – BKYN/QNS  (Full Time): Reports to the Case Manager Coordinator and is responsible to deliver comprehensive vocational case management, counseling and referral services to the clientele transitioning from public assistance to employment and to assist in attaining career goals that can lead to self-sufficiency. Must maintain the highest standard of personal conduct and integrity while working with the clientele, as well as in relating to other staff members, service providers and agencies. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: BA Degree required with two years related working experience with client population; Bi-lingual/English; experience with NYC Welfare to Work, social services and rehabilitation-related fields; must have excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and effective problem-solving skills.   • Intake Coordinator (B2W) – BKYN/QNS  (Full Time): Oversees the day to day operations of the intake department and ensures compliance with the contractual obligations. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: BA/BS degree in Social Services, or related discipline or 3-5 years experience in a similar administrative/managerial position in an employment/placement environment; xperience with WTW funded programs and performance based contracts preferred; experience in working with diverse and unemployed populations focusing on job seeking clients; strong interpersonal and communication skills required; must be service oriented, assertive and a self-starter, detail-minded and be able to engage and multi-task in a dynamic performance environment. Must be computer literate; able to motivate and be a role model to staff and participants and demonstrate excellent job development skills and strategies; must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program.   • Job Developer (B2W) – BKYN/QNS  (Full Time): Reports to Employment Services Coordinator and is responsible for developing strategies and linkages with potential employers and maintaining a job bank for participant placements.  Must meet weekly/monthly goals for placing participants. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: two years post high school education required, BA/BS degree preferred; two years related experience in job development, sales, marketing, or fund raising.  Customer service experience required; knowledge of labor market, industries and employer hiring practices; administration of Job Bank preferred; able to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary; must be organized and detail-oriented; must be computer literate; must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program.   • Retention Specialist (B2W) – BKYN/QNS  (Full Time): Responsible for the case management of all employed participants. They provide regular post-placement intervention and support services to employed participants for maximum job retention. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: AS Degree preferred or two years related working experience with client population; must have excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and effective problem-solving skills; must be a self-starter, assertive and possess the ability to effectively multitask; experience with NYC Welfare to Work, social services and rehabilitation-related fields strongly preferred; must have excellent communication skills, written and oral. RETAIL:

  • Assistant Store Manager  (Full Time) – NY/NJ  (For Store Locations: http://www.goodwillnynj.org/shop/goodwill-store-locations): Reports to the store manager, employee will coordinate and support activities to optimize store revenues and savings, improve productivity, and ensure the delivery of outstanding service to all customers. Responsible for the efficient and profitable management of the retail location when the store manager is unavailable. Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements: some college preferred, high school diploma, GED equivalency required, or its equivalent in courses of business or marketing; undergone two (2) years of supervisory experience and two (2) years of retail experience; ability to supervise and train direct reports in all aspects of store operations; outstanding organizational skills; ability to read and communicate clearly in an efficient manner; English language is required; ability to effectively respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and management staff; ability to calculate amounts; working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of other situations; ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
