Curtain up, light the lights – tomorrow, March 14th, is opening day for the Northern and Central New Jersey ReelAbilities Film Festival!
Five short films by and about people with disabilities will premiere at our Goodwill Headquarters in Harrison, NJ to promote awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expression of people with different disabilities.
We’ll be one of seven venues for the inaugural ReelAbilities Film Festival in Northern and Central New Jersey to premiere Reel Encounters 2013, a collection of 5 international short films, produced, directed or starring people with disabilities.
Tickets for the 11 a.m., 2 and 6:30 p.m. screenings are $10 and may be purchased at http://tinyurl.com/filmfestgw. Post screening film discussion to follow the 6:30 p.m. screening at Goodwill’s NJ Operations campus located at 400 Supor Boulevard; Harrison, NJ 07029.
Reel Encounters 2013 is a collection of international short films: Willowbrook (16 min), Be My Brother (8 mins), Sensory Overload ( 3 min), Beautiful ( 17 min), and Jazz Hands (3 mins).
Local artists with disabilities will have an opportunity to display their artwork During the 6:30 p.m. reception.
