Last Saturday, as part of a National Day of Service on Saturday, volunteers from the New Jersey State Leads for the Presidential Inaugural Committee joined us to help sort donations for families affected by Sandy in NJ at our Harrison Goodwill.

NJ State Leads for the Presidential Inaugural Committee brought a dozen volunteers into our sorting area to help make a difference. Thank you to all who give back!

Led by our Harrison Goodwill team, twelve generous New Jersey locals tackled our many bins of donations (thank you donors!) to help give back to those affected by Sandy, as well as those facing other unexpected economic setbacks and barriers to employment.

In anticipation of Saturday, the New Jersey State Leads for the Presidential Inaugural Committee worked hard with other Inauguration Committees nationwide to organize a day of service, exciting locals to contribute to the local community and engage in volunteerism.

We are grateful to all who came out last weekend – thank you from all of us here at Goodwill, all the individuals and families we’ve been able to help after Sandy, and  the many job-seekers we serve every day.

If you’d like to organize a Day of Service for 10 or more volunteers from your company, your college, or your network of family and friends, please reach out to us.
