Follow the lead of Goodwill Beacon’s Finest Ladies Step Team and step up your summer! These young women took the season to the next level by being the only middle school team chosen to perform in the Step to The High Line Festival II at New York City’s High Line Park earlier this month.
Impressive? You bet. The High Line is one of New York City’s newest public spaces and these ladies made sure to represent among a variety of cultures, making friends and fans along the way.
In case you’re not in the know, step is form of creative expression that celebrates the power and energy of youth through synchronized stomping, clapping, calling, and other corporal sounds. Earlier this month, The High Line Park hosted a competition where some of the city’s best step teams performed their step routine, culminating in a showcase of all five teams.
