Back on May 3, 2012, Levi Strauss & Co. celebrated their Community Day – a global day of service where employees give back to the communities – and Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey was honored to be involved.

The Levi’s team helped out (and had fun!) behind the scene at the Goodwill East Harlem Store on Levi Strauss & Co’s Community Day.

Levi’s Community Day is no small feat. Last year, Levi Strauss & Co. employees participated in 148 projects in 47 countries, resulting in thousands of volunteer hours and more than $400,000 in grants donated to our community partners through the Levi Strauss Foundation.

Goodwill in Paramus, East Harlem, Long Island and Springfield (NJ) hosted Levi’s volunteers. Incredible guests, the Levi’s crew jumped right in and worked alongside our staff and program participants, clearing one store’s production area in under two hours (record time!). One store’s Levi’s crew was so successful they earned the nickname “the dynamic trio.”

We’ve made a full photo album on our Facebook Page to show off the fun: http://on.fb.me/levisgw

For now, though, here’s quick peek at our favorite shots. Looking through it’s easy to see that everyone wins when a company volunteers within its community!

The fantastic Levi’s team is all set to get to work at the Goodwill Paramus Store!

Looks like the Levi’s volunteers mind have found their own “dynamic trio” of Goodwill finds!
