Retail Store Managers for the following locations: East Northport (Long Island, NY) and New Rochelle (Westchester, NY). Responsible for all aspects of the efficient and profitable management of a retail store location. This employee will have proven abilities in the areas of employee relations, customer relations, retail management, loss prevention, cash handling, merchandising, production, stocking, achieving established sales goals, and keeping operational costs within established budget.
Retail Assistant Managers for the following locations: 181st Street (Washington Heights, NYC), Third Avenue (East Harlem, NYC), West 79th Street (Upper West Side, NYC), Fulton Street (Brooklyn, NY), Fairfield (NJ), Paramus (NJ), Vails Gate (NY) and Wappinger Falls (NY). Reports to the store manager, employee will coordinate and support activities to optimize store revenues and savings, improve productivity, and ensure the delivery of outstanding service to all customers. Responsible for the efficient and profitable management of the retail location when the store manager is unavailable.

In addition to our team of staff members, Goodwill’s Programs offer help finding full-time jobs or temporary positions. We serve youth, immigrants and refugees, unskilled and mature workers, people with physical and mental disabilities, displaced homemakers, persons receiving public assistance or moving from welfare into jobs, veterans, and other dislocated workers.
Our workforce development programs are located in the Greater New York City area, including the five boroughs, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and Northern New Jersey. We provide skills assessment, job search help, on-the-job training, job placement services, and post-employment support.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:
Back to Work – Provides job readiness training, placement services, and vocational training to those applying for or receiving public assistance.
Brooklyn Workforce 1 Career Center – Provides services needed to prepare for and find work.
Refugee Social Services Program – Offers various social services, career planning and placement to refugees and asylees.
Targeted Assistance Grant – Offers intensive computer training and Vocational English as a Second Language classes, plus various social services to refugees and asylees.
GoodTemps – Our temporary staffing service provides short and long term employment opportunities.
HempsteadWorks Career Center – A One-Stop network of organizations meeting the needs of job seekers and employers, offers career counseling, referrals, and information about the job market.
Re-Entry Services – Offers case management, mentoring, job placement, coaching, and retention services to New Jersey men and women who were recently released from prison.
Member for Life Program – Tracks Goodwill program participants after they are placed in jobs to give help where needed to succeed in the workplace.
