We’re looking for a few great interns to join the GoodwillNyNj team starting this June – could they be you?
If you’re a burgeoning writer currently working on a Communications or Journalism degree and are interested in nonprofits in your community, this could be the job for you:
- Communications Intern: This intern will assist Communications Director in ensuring clear and timely communications of the agency to staff, prospective clients, the media and the broader marketplace. You’ll be responsible for producing written work for Goodwill’s newsletters, news releases, web content, brochure copy, and articles, conceptualizing feature story ideas for media, writing content of marketing materials for all Goodwill Divisions (including store openings and new projects/programs launches), creating supporting materials to enhance Goodwill’s communications, and responding to constituent emails as necessary. We’re looking for pro-active self-starters with writing experience, strong computer and research skills (especially regarding online research and media monitoring), and the ability to drive projects forward and meet deadlines. Could this be you? Please submit your resume to us at HRdirect@goodwillnynj.org.
If you are a visual genius interested currently working on an associate or bachelor degree in Design or Graphic Design, take a look at this:
- Graphic Design Intern: This intern will help create bi-monthly newsletters, retail store posters/promotional materials, updating animated PSA displays. You should be comfortable working under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and be fluent in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. If you know Flash & CSS, that is definitely a place. Also, you should be willing to learn e-mail marketing and promo display softwares and be able to work 3-5 days a week. Please your resume and sample graphic design work in PDF to HRdirect@goodwillnynj.org.
Both of these internships involve 3-5 days a week and both offer college credit and a stipend. Hope to hear from you soon!
