It may as well be March Madness with the battle of university all-stars going on this week! NYU’s Green Apple Move Out is in full swing now, as we’re sure you well know, but we’ve got a second NYC school pulling out all the donation drive stops: Columbia University!
Now in its sixth year, Give & Go Green provides a convenient way for students to get rid of their unwanted belongings during Move Out by dropping them off at Give & Go Green collection centers – and Goodwill’s proud to be a part of it! In fact, last year over four 26-ft. trucks packed with clothing, household goods and other items were donated to Goodwill Industries and kept out of landfills. Thank you, New York students, for helping us make New York a greener place!
If you’re a Columbia University student on the move, be sure to donate your no-longer-neededs to the collection centers. We’ll be sending our brand-new Goodwill trucks to come haul away all those items come May 20th. You may have sneaked a peek at one of our new trucks today, hanging out on campus from 2-4pm. If so, ain’t it a beaut? We trust you’ll fill it well!
