Our April 20th job forum is shaping up! Now’s the time to RSVP as space is limited and the program is promising.
As mentioned last week, “A 360ᵒ on Jobs: Policy, Economy, Training, and Employment” will examine the systemic unemployment in the metropolitan region. In spite of reports of the increase in better high-paying jobs in early 2012, the unemployment rate continues to rise. Our program participants continue to struggle to find work. Goodwill seeks to improve the stagnant local job market.

New York holds a lot of dreams, but where are all the jobs? This April, GoodwillNyNj will host a Job Forum to ask just that.
Along with a keynote address by Department of Labor Assistant Secretary Jane Oates, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Goodwill employees and program participants, discuss economics with our all-star panel of Dr. Paul Harrington from Drexel University and the Honorable Edward Montgomery from Georgetown University, tackle the hot topics in civic engagement with representatives from JP Morgan Chase, The New York Community Trust, Ford and Kessler Foundations and volley thoughts during a Q&A.
For more information about the forum or to RSVP for this “by invitation only” event, please contact Karen Means, EVP of Communications at kmeans@goodwillny.org.
